About Easter Seals Regatta
2011 marks the 22nd anniversary of the Easter Seals Regatta, a day of friendly sailing and boating competition.
Host yacht clubs, along with volunteers and local Easter Seals’ representatives work together to create a first-class fundraiser that brings sailing, boating, and sponsors together for a fun-filled day in support of kids with physical disabilities.
To enter, skipper must raise a pre-set minimum in pledges/donations/sponsorship for his or her boat, with minimum amounts set individually by each Easter Seals Regatta site.
Regattas feature racing and cruising divisions, as well as an exciting range of on-shore activities for land lovers, including barbeques, music, prizes and children’s activities.
Money raised goes towards funding costly equipment such as walkers, wheelchairs, and communication devices, providing summer camping experiences at Easter Seals camps, and funding of alternate recreation programs such as day camps, swimming and art classes.
Whether you are a skilled sailor, a power boater, or a land lover, Easter Seals charity regattas are fun-filled summer events enjoyed by skippers, sponsors, volunteers, and Easter Seals families alike.
